60 photo challenges for your wedding. So your guests capture what you miss yourselves.

At a wedding people take plenty of photos, but often the same ones: the cake, the kiss, the dance floor from afar. Photo challenges point your guests at the moments in between. Here are 60 ideas in six moments, in the order of the day.

How to use the challenges

  1. 01

Choose. Pick 10 to 20 challenges that suit your guests. The photo challenge generator lays them out by moment on one A4 sheet.

  2. 02

Share them out. Put the sheet on the tables, by the guest book or next to the QR code. One challenge per table works too.

  3. 03

Collect. With a bleibt album guests upload their pictures by QR code, with no app and no account. Each moment can become its own category in the album.

The 60 photo challenges

The challenges follow the course of the day. Not every one suits every wedding: leave out what does not happen at yours.

Moment 1

Getting ready

Before it all begins: hands, outfits, last touches and the calm before the big moment.

  1. The hands helping with the buttons
  2. The shoes before they are worn for the first time
  3. The bouquet while it is still standing in water

  9. A calm moment in the middle of getting ready
  10. A short video: the empty room, just before everyone leaves

Moment 2

The ceremony

The ceremony as the guests see it: glances, hands, the rows and the walk back out.

  1. The last row, just before it begins
  2. Two hands holding on during the ceremony
  3. A tissue held ready
  4. The aisle between the rows, empty for a moment
  5. Confetti or bubbles in the air
  6. The couple in the guard of honour, seen from further back
  7. A short video: the walk back out, seen from the last row
  8. Your row during the applause, everyone clapping
  9. A look between two guests who have known each other for years
  10. A voice message: which moment of the ceremony will stay with you?
03
Moment 3

The reception

Dinner & speeches

A lot happens at the table: speeches, laughter, listening and the people sitting side by side.

  1. The people next to you, before the food arrives
  2. The audience during a speech, not the speaker
  3. A laugh that travels the length of the table
  4. Your place card next to the empty plate
  5. The cutting of the cake, from the second row
  6. The moment someone stands up to speak
  7. Your glasses and plates just before the table fills up
  8. Your whole table in one selfie, plates included
  9. A conversation that carries on through every course
  10. A short video: your table applauding after a speech

Moment 5

Little details

What you miss from across the room: decorations, hands, shoes, notes and traces of the day.

  1. The rings on their hands, not in the box
  2. The guest book, open at your page
  3. A sign that showed you the way
  4. A candle on your table
  5. A loosened tie or an open collar
  6. A child’s drawing made today
  7. A detail of the decorations you only notice on a second look
  8. All the shoes under your table
  9. A hand on a shoulder, mid-conversation
  10. A thank-you detail someone has prepared for the guests

  4. Shoes left behind beside the dance floor
  5. The breather outside, jacket over the shoulders
  6. The last guests still there
  7. The dance floor just after midnight
  8. A short video: the moment a song pulls everyone onto the floor
  9. A voice message: what do you wish the two of them for their first year?
  10. A group charging onto the dance floor together

Photos of guests, with care

Not every guest wants to be photographed, and not every picture belongs in a shared album. Mention briefly in your welcome what the photos are for and that nobody has to take part. Only photograph children when their parents are happy with it.

FAQ

The short answers.

How many photo challenges does a wedding need?

10 to 20 tasks are easy to take in at the party. Pick from the collection what suits your guests and your day.

Are photo challenges the same as a photo scavenger hunt?

Much the same idea: small prompts that ask guests to capture particular moments. A scavenger hunt adds a list to tick off; these challenges work either way.

Is there a printable template?

Yes. This list prints as it is, over several pages with 60 challenges. The photo challenge generator builds your own A4 sheet, free and without signing up.

How do we collect the photos from guests afterwards?

With a QR code on the sheet. In bleibt it opens the upload straight in the phone browser, with no app and no account. Every picture lands in one shared album.

Do guests have to do every challenge?

No. The challenges are an invitation, not a programme. Every challenge someone picks up brings a picture that would otherwise be missing.
