How we calculate

We estimate how many photos and videos come in per invited guest, depending on the type of event and the age mix. These are assumptions, not measurements.

From that we work out the storage: 4 MB per photo and 60 MB per minute of video in the “More room” mode. We assume a guest video lasts 20 seconds.

The range runs from the typical to the high case. For the recommendation we use the typical case plus 20 % headroom.

Voice messages are not included. They take up about 45 MB per hour.

Questions about storage

How many photos do guests upload at a wedding?

It varies a lot. We assume about 5 to 6 photos and videos per invited guest, up to 15 in very active groups. That is an estimate without reliable measurements, not a statistic – so the calculator shows a range.

How much storage does an event photo album need?

In the “More room” mode a photo takes about 4 MB and a minute of video about 60 MB. Typical events come to a few gigabytes. With your answers the calculator shows the range and the package that fits.

What happens when the storage is full?

We warn you at 80 % and at 100 %. You can add 5 GB of extra storage from €19 or move up a package and pay only the difference.

Do voice messages count?

Yes, but they hardly matter: about 45 MB per hour. The calculator leaves them out.

Can I change the package later?

Yes, any time to a larger package. You pay only the difference, for example €30 from Moment to Memory.
